Hi,
I have just discovered your Cottingham
website, it is very interesting. My mother was a Tansley as were my
grandparents although I've never been into the family history.
I know my mother was brought up by her
grandmother in Cottingham/ Middleton, having been born illegitimate. Being
in the 1917 -20 era you can appreciate that it wasn't talked of much. My
grandmother and grandfather are buried in Cottingham churchyard.
