Hello Jane,
There is a large stone on the left of one of
the wellhead pictures. When I was a girl,
there was a curious area of massive flat stones, set opposite the yard
gate to Crossbank House. They leaned against the field wall, onto the
main road, where Jack Glovers wall now stands. I have a picture somewhere
of us kids standing on them. Wonder where the stones are now?
