have just been looking at your site, ref Cottingham. A very nice and
informative piece.
I
am descended from Mary Elizabeth Beadsworth (my great grandmother) who
came from Cottingham and I was wondering if you could put me in touch with
any Beadsworths who are still in Cottingham, to aid my family research.

Lovely to hear from you, and
thanks for your feedback on the site.
There are several Beadsworths
still in the village, including Laurie and his wife Irene, who have given
me lots of help with the site. Laurie and his sister Mary (now Needham)
both still live in the village, and Mary lives in the old family home in
Water Lane. I think their grandfather was Arthur Beadsworth?
Irene has done lots of
research into the Beadsworth family so she may be able to help you. There
is also a Michael Beadsworth (who I think is Laurie’s cousin or second
cousin). In addition, the electoral roll for 2000 shows a Norman
Beadsworth who I haven't had contact with. Anyway, get in touch with
Irene, I’m sure she’d be happy to help you out.
